2022 Summer Camp Themes

LEGO Robotics - City Bot Builders Level I and Level II  is guaranteed to ignite campers’ excitement for learning as it enhances their skills in science, engineering and technology. Campers will build robots that focus on the technologies that we face in modern times. During camp, participants will learn how to build robots with walking mechanism, increase force with levers, gear and belt drives, work with motion and tilt sensors. In the Bot-Builders camp they will create robots that help to make cities more comfortable, cleaner and more safe. Campers will build the future!

 

Level II camps builds on skills from Level I. It is NOT required that you enroll in Level I before you enroll in Level II.

In our Stop Motion Animation camp kids will get to bring all their animation ideas to life! They will create their own characters, settings and scenes during their small group collaborations using LEGO clay, toys or paper. They’ll get to create or recreate amazing movie scenes using our special software, green screen and sound effects. At the end of the camp session campers will go home with an amazing animated movie to share.

LEGO Robotics - Dino Park Level I and Level II is guaranteed to ignite campers’ excitement for learning as it enhances their skills in science, engineering and technology.  The Dino Park camp gives participants unique opportunities to revive the prehistoric world! This camp will introduce participants to the classification of dinosaurs, when they lived and why they disappeared. During camp, participants will learn how to build robots with walking mechanism, increase force with levers, gear and belt drives, work with motion and tilt sensors. 

 

Level II camps builds on skills from Level I. It is NOT required that you enroll in Level I before you enroll in Level II.

Every day participants will make a new robot with a certain functionality. We start with a problem that campers should solve using new knowledge, skills, teamwork and creativity. Theme not offered for summer 2022. 

In LEGO Engineer: Simple Machines...participants will work as young scientists and engineers while they investigate and understand the operation of simple compound machines that we use in everyday life.  They will build merry go rounds and carts that use gears, wheels and axis. Participants will develop collaboration and problem solving skills while they work in a team of two under guided instruction. 

Theme not offered for summer 2022.
