About Our Camp Staff and Ratios
Our camp director is a state certified, experienced educator. We recruit top level talent from Birmingham area universities. Our summer camp instructors are energetic college students and school teachers interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Education or Business fields. Our selective hiring process includes an intensive training process which includes full background checks and CPR/First Aid certification. With an average camp ratio of 12-14 students per instructor your camper will experience a great blend of small group instruction and self lead discovery.
Social Emotional Learning
New for 2020! Research has confirmed that social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children acquire and effectively apply the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions. This year we’ve integrated these SEL skills into each camp theme we offer. Campers will participate in numerous character education lessons filled with tons of hands-on and mindful activities that encourage them to build important social-emotional skills.
Registration Deadline
The ability to register will close once the camp session is full. All additional registrations will be added to the session waitlist.
